Single Cell Development PEMFC Expert Contract Job China
Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible for decomposing cell indicators based on the technical index requirements of stacks; lead the formulation and optimization of the technical route for single cells (cell cores). Deeply understand the stack and system-level goals (performance, efficiency, service life, cost, cold start, etc.), accurately decompose and define key technical indicators at the single cell level (such as current density, voltage efficiency, durability, consistency, cost, etc.), and ensure that the single cell design strongly supports the overall goals.
2. Responsible for the performance improvement and matching optimization of bipolar plates and membrane electrode assemblies (MEA) on the cell platform, and balance the water, gas, and electricity management issues between bipolar plates and MEA; lead the performance improvement, selection matching, and collaborative optimization of bipolar plates, MEA, and their key components (catalyst layers, proton exchange membranes, gas diffusion layers). Focus on tackling core technical problems in the balance of water-gas-heat-electricity management (such as liquid water distribution control, reaction gas mass transfer optimization, temperature uniformity, contact resistance), formulate and implement specific plans for bipolar plate flow field design and MEA structure & formula optimization, and continuously improve the comprehensive performance and durability of single cells.
3. Responsible for the development of optimal operating conditions and operation strategies for cell modules, balancing performance, efficiency, and service life.
4. Set and implement the design improvement goals of the cell platform (including the design optimization of bipolar plates and the matching optimization of MEA).
5. Responsible for guiding team members to establish tools, methods, and processes for solving cell failure issues at the stack level, and form corresponding design specifications (e.g., solve and optimize bipolar plate corrosion and water drainage problems).
6. Responsible for planning and organizing product benchmarking and competitive product analysis, establishing a benchmark/competitive product database to provide directions for product development.
7. Responsible for conducting technical exchanges with domestic and foreign suppliers, obtaining the latest materials, technical parameters, and specifications, and applying them to product development.
8. Responsible for the establishment and optimization of the cell matching development process, plan and improve development capabilities, and establish product design standards and process standards.
9. Be responsible for reviewing the single cell Design Verification Plan (DVP) and test specifications, and assist team members in establishing processes and evaluation methods required for single cell design and development (including: single cell design, MEA selection evaluation, CCM and GDL matching evaluation, seal design, coating design, structural design, welding design, etc.).
10. Responsible for stack application management, including the construction of an evaluation system from cells to stacks, and the development of application methods and boundaries between stacks and systems.
11. Responsible for the training of new team members, and realize the rapid growth and capability improvement of team members through lectures, training, and On-the-Job Training (OJT).
12. Other matters required by the company that do not conflict with the main responsibilities of this position.
Job Requirements
1. More than 8 years of experience in single cell development, and a good command of the entire development process of membrane electrodes, single cells, stacks, and fuel cell systems.
2. Have participated in the development and problem-solving of at least one generation of mass-produced products.
3. Familiar with stack product application management and the stack-related matching of fuel cell systems.
4. Familiar with the performance and durability characteristics of key materials for single cells, and able to connect with customers’ actual scenario needs to conduct MEA/bipolar plate matching and demand definition.
5. Have practical project experience in improving indicators such as single cell service life, durability, and reliability.
6. Have a spirit of challenge, strong sense of responsibility, excellent collaboration skills and organizational planning capabilities, a deep understanding of the fuel cell industry, and an industry-level technical strategic perspective.
